DODIK: SERBS WERE THE HAGUE TRIBUNAL'S GUINEA PIGS

BIJELJINA, JUNE 12 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said that Serbs were used as guinea pigs for the Hague Tribunal, which practiced convictions based on command responsibility on them, in the hope of applying it to the leadership of the Russian Federation.

"They had no concrete evidence against Radovan Karadžić, Ratko Mladić, Biljana Plavšić, Momčilo Krajišnik, or anyone else, and then they invented command responsibility," Dodik told reporters in Bijeljina. Dodik stressed that it is important to say that the leadership of Republika Srpska was convicted based on so-called command responsibility, which does not exist anywhere in the world and therefore cannot imply guilt. "We were guinea pigs. We are paying a high price, but we survived. Republika Srpska must be described as a phenomenon of survival under such political circumstances, pressures, and the desire to make it disappear," Dodik said. Dodik pointed out that other peoples do not bear such responsibility. "History and the Serbian people cannot accept that, even though they have power. We are grateful to partners who are trying to bring objectivity into this, but nothing will come of it," Dodik said. He stressed that politically motivated behavior must be rejected and that genuine access to the truth must be ensured. "The truth is difficult to access today because everything is based on perceptions. If you continuously use various propaganda tricks through social media to create a narrative about bad Serbs, then that is how it ultimately ends," Dodik said.
